The first 2017 meeting of the Colonial Village Neighborhood Association (CVNA) was held on February 15, 2017 at Grace United Methodist Church. The open forum attended by over 30 neighbors was called to support the continuation of CVNA and to fill vacancies on the CVNA Board.
William Woodworth, Area 2 Representative, moderated the meeting and called for nominations from the floor. With surprise and welcomed applause, June Kenfield (a past president) stepped up to fill the president’s chair. The rest of the board was quickly filled: Kris Klein is the new vice president, Karl Biasi remains as treasurer. Valerie Marchand is the new secretary. Area representatives are Mike Morofsky, Area 1; William Woodworth, Area 2; Tom Ebaugh.
Mayor Virg Bernero and Adam Hussain, Ward 3 Councilmember, also attended the meeting and answered many questions regarding a medical marijuana resolution, snow removal and other issues of neighborhood concerns.
The next CVNA meeting will be held on March 15, 2017, 7pm – 8:30pm, at Grace United Methodist Church. Meetings are open to everyone. Come join us and bring your suggestions and questions.
The scheduled meetings for the rest of the year will follow past schedules. Look for the CVNA Meeting signs posted at various locations around the neighborhood. Further details will be available soon.
