Effective January 6, 2014, CATA Bus Route 11 will be extended through the Colonial Village Neighborhood. New signs have been posted on Mt. Hope Ave in front of Colonial Woods Senior Center, 2001 Mt. Hope, located between Pleasant Grove and Boston. A second sign is located in Front of the ValueLand Market which is located on Mt. Hope between Boston and Martin Luther King Blvd.
Buses will also serve the neighborhood just south of the shopping center, with a bus stop on Lenore west of Pattengill.
The Colonial Village Neighborhood Association November 20 meeting was abuzz with excitement as 2014 officers were elected. Although the next Association meeting will not be until February 19, 2014, the new officers term will begin in January 2014.
The new officers are: Shawn Cox, President; Laura Ford, Vice President; Suzanne Salay, Treasurer; Sara Weeden, Secretary; Michael Morosky, Area One Representative; Katie VanDorn, Area Two Representative; Dale Copedge, Area Three Representative.

CVNA’s 13th Annual Meet the Candidates Night was held Wednesday, September 18, 2013, earlier than previous years, due to the increasing number of residents who vote by absentee ballot. The purpose of this event is to provide attendees an opportunity to actually meet the candidates, address their concerns and ask questions that will give them an opportunity to decide who the best candidate is for them and the City of Lansing.
